About Us

Adelaide McLaughlin is located in Oshawa, Ontario and serves students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 with a population of approximately 330 students.

The students, staff and community of Adelaide McLaughlin Public School work together to help all individuals achieve his/her full potential academically, socially and emotionally. Staff and students celebrate diversity and promote respect for others and the environment. Together, we work cooperatively to prepare students to be lifelong learners and to meet the needs of a changing society.

Welcome to Adelaide McLaughlin Public School!

Adelaide McLaughlin Public School offers its students a large variety of programs and extra-curricular activities.  At Adelaide McLaughlin we commit ourselves to forming a collaborative community of learners where respect, accountability and achievement result in success of all students.  

Our focus is to create a balance of student opportunities that promote active learning using innovative instructional strategies which address all areas of academics, arts and athletics.  We strive to connect students to authentic learning experiences, groom responsible citizens and foster community leaders. 

The attitudes and commitment of our students reflect the strong community support of Adelaide McLaughlin Public School.  We have an active School Community Council (SCC) committed to supporting the educational goals of the school and working collaboratively with staff to promote the academic, social and emotional growth of all of our students.
